We have a few down here in Bellevue. They have taken over a cotton wood tree and watch for food floating down the river. This is within a stones throw of the local subway sandwich shop. They will also sit on the edges of the ice flows. Pretty cool stuff.

Yes it could be. On my way back from Sabula the other day I saw one chasing down something out in a field. It was amazing! There was an article the other day in the local paper on why the eagle numbers are down this year. The theory is that the gizzard shad are not as plentiful as in years past, so they went looking else where.
